“Galaxy”
this is huge. about 6000 square inches…it’s over 8ft by 6ft. The size can alter depending on space.
watercolor, black illustration board, charcoal paper, sumi ink, various watercolor papers
“Keep your eyes on the road”
watercolor, sumi ink, graphite, ashes
this is over 2000 sqaure inches, it’s fairly large.
A favorite piece of mine. A lot of people wanted it, but it’s one of my higher priced items, so it’s still with me at the moment though it’s nicely mounted and ready to be sold if anyone ever does get it. o3o
watercolor,ashes
“Wilted”
Inspired by another project I did when I had to burn roses. I don’t think this piece is as successful as others but it was still fun to do.
watercolor,ashes
“Alien”
charcoal paper, various watercolor paper, white illustration board, ashes, transparent watercolor, india ink
most of these pieces actually sold. I tend to sell my work as a whole, but each section can be bought individually as well.
I’m currently trying to figure out how to make jewelry out of my smaller pieces using resin. :)
“Spider on a stump”
watercolor,ashes,black illustration board
watercolor, sumi ink, ashes, wax
I forgot to mention the best part about this…there a random “Scary phrases” written on the paper, but some of the ashes burned through them. One of the scary phrases to survive was, “It has six legs,” and it unsettled most people who discovered it. :> It was pretty fun to see people react to it. :>
This was a fun piece. (part of it’s mounted because that part sold.)
I used different transparent watercolors, and some irodori watercolor-that is also a transparent but it almost acts more like a gouache. Then I smoked the pieces very slowly over a period of several days to get color changes and natural decay.
